Wonderful white sand beaches are ideal for walking, sunbathing and relaxing. The first holiday visitors came here in 1817, the first wicker beach chair was invented here. Warnemünde beach remains extremely popular today and the water quality of the Baltic Sea is very high in spite of the many bathers.
